He is a Chennai journalist who chose writing over engineering. He was an assistant editor at Kalki from 1992 to 2000. He later worked at Kumudam. He has published thirteen novels and over fifty history books.
Dollar Desam is his political history of America. Nilamellam Raththam covers the Israel–Palestine conflict. His novel Yathi explores the world of Indian monks. He won the Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad Award in 2004.
